The Coffee Wager

I have never liked coffee, but my dad and my brother just couldn't seem to believe that and have been perpetually trying to get me to drink it. After having been unsuccessful for the longest time, they made a wager with me several weeks ago: "If the Rams win a game this season, you'll have to drink some coffee." Up to that point in the season, the Rams had been the epitome of awful so I foolishly agreed, hoping that the Rams wouldn't win a single game -- how's THAT for being faithful to your team? Lo and behold, they beat the lowly Lions two weeks ago, so I tried coffee yet again tonight. However, despite my best efforts to make the coffee taste good (I put in lots of sugar and chocolate syrup), it just refused to comply. 'Tis a lost cause, so I'll just have to stick with soda to get my caffeine fix.

I find that alot of people are either coffee or tea people, if you can't stand coffee come to the tea side of things. I suggest a quality Earl Grey. Also, NEVER bet on football! Especially if it doesn't involve money. There are plenty of people out there who have been forced to go bald, wear dresses or get embarrASSing tattoos because of lost football bets.

I have never cared much for tea either, so I guess I'm just abnormal that way. As for betting on football, I'd never bet on football if it wasn't a friendly, "safe" bet within my immediate family. I'm not that stupid. :)

Yeah, I can't even stand the smell of coffie, nonetheless stand to be able to actually drink it. Mountain Dew is where it's at! 8-)

That's funny you actually didn't think the Rams would win a single game this season though. I mean I know they've had terrible teams over recent years, but going winless is really, really not putting much faith in them at all. XD

Yeah, I know; I'm a terrible fan. Still, the Rams were looking absolutely abysmal in the early part of the season (and still do). I may end up being only 1-win off come season's end though.

Can't blame you, Matt. I'm a tea lover, in spite of being from the country with "the best coffee in the world," so people EXPECT me to like coffee!

So let them say whatever they want ;3
