And Then There Were 9
When I first saw the trailer to this movie, I instantly thought "next all time animated classic that will be remembered for years to come." And of course with an innovative genius like Tim Burton at the helm, it was practically assured in my mind to become so.

#MangaMonday Review - Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee GN 1
Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee is a prime example of wasted potential. Though it is only volume one, it becomes very clear very quickly that Hiroyuki Asada just was not able to come up with a fresh storyline to complement his eye-popping artistry and creative world-building.

No matchmaking for Firefight!
Well, I just finished watching the Halo 3: ODST video review via Gametrailers.com and I am pleased to see that the game received a fair and honest score. I am excited about picking it up next Tuesday, but the reviewer did mention some not so favorable information. "Firefight," a new game mode included with the game, will not support matchmaking. For those who are not already familiar, Halo 3: ODST is a new game in the popular Halo series of games created by Bungie Studios. What is different in ODST is a new perspective; instead of fighting as a super soldier known as the Master Chief, you play as an ordinary human ODST or Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. In addition to the singleplayer story campaign, 4-players will be able to cooperatively work to battle endless waves of Covenant (the baddies) until a pool of lives is exhausted in Firefight. Firefight is very similar to the Horde mode introduced in Gears of War 2, which also emphasizes teamwork to defend against groups of increasingly difficult enemies. Having played countless hours of Horde, my excitement for the release of ODST only grew when Firefight was first revealed.

Halo Legends - "The Babysitter" Preview
This is the Halo Legends preview that aired on Spike last night.
This looks pretty cool, if you ask me, though how it cuts off at the end is rather odd. I really hope this turns out better than Batman: Gotham Knight did.

Nostalgia Time! OR Happy Belated Birthday ArizUtaku!
I cannot believe that I completely forgot about this momentous occasion.
Back on August 21st, ArizUtaku had its first birthday!
Waltz with Bashir
Directly following Sugar, I moved on to watching the critically-acclaimed Waltz with Bashir to see what all the fuss was about.
WOW.
WOW.
Sugar
So I had some extra time on my hands last night and I watched two movies. First up was Sugar, a baseball-themed film from the writer/director team behind Half Nelson (which I have not seen, but plan to now).

#AniWednesday Recommendation: Last Exile.
Originally I was just going to repost a revised version of my Texhnolyze post for this week, but I think the comment David Goodwin made in there describes the series in so many perfect ways that I don't think any revision I do of it would even come close. So I think I'm just going to leave it at that and move on to another series. This week I'll be reviewing character designer Range Murata's worked on epic masterpiece Last Exile.
