Christopher Nolan's "Inception" - Trailer 2
Christopher Nolan's "Inception" - Teaser Trailer
I saw this trailer before Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Homes on Christmas Day, and I think I enjoyed this Inception trailer more than the movie it preceded! Now that it is on the net, I thought I'd share it with the masses. You can see the trailer for yourself after the jump.

It's here. With two weeks to go in the decade (and in this Top 50 list), the Top 10 are all set to begin. Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate that holiday and a "Happy Holidays" to everyone else. In the mean time, let's reveal the bottom half of my Top 10 anime of the decade.

James Cameron's Avatar, or "It's not WHAT happens, it's HOW it happens." ;)
Upon reading reviews for this movie, I've essentially seen it be called "Dances With Smurfs," which is pretty much a direct quote from an episode of South Park. I've also seen it accused of ripping of the animated classic Ferngully: The Last Rainforest. And in some senses, they are right. But the fact of the matter is when it all comes down to it, James Cameron's "Avatar" is no more "Dances With Smurfs" as The Last Samurai is "Dances With Samurai." And it's pretty much no more of a Ferngully ripoff as such Hayao Miyazaki films as the ones with all of their pro-environmental messages, which as "preachy" as they may be is something I certainly have never had a problem with. And essentially, given the track record of both comparisons, really is far from being a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination.

More Ookiku Furikabutte! AWESOME!
From ANN.
This calls for celebration!
Hopefully the first season sold well enough to warrant FUNimation picking up season two.

Having seen four movies over the past two weeks and with James Cameron's Avatar opening tomorrow, I did not want to fall too far behind on my movie reviews, so what follows are my somewhat brief thoughts on my recent moviegoings.

This week, we finally crack the top 20! BroEl could not have been more correct when he so eloquently stated in his comment on Part 6: "This is where the list starts getting dang epic." After this, there are just two more weeks until we reach the top 10 of the decade! How very exciting.

REVIEW: Zombieland
America is no longer the America we know after having fallen victim to a zombie apocalypse. Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), a college student, is on his way to Columbus, Ohio in search of his parents. After losing his car in an accident caused by a zombie attack, Columbus encounters Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) and the two decide to travel together. They later meet two sisters, Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin). These sisters con Columbus and Tallahassee out of their weapons and steal Tallahassee's truck in the process. But, after meeting the sisters again and nearly having their newly acquired vehicle stolen a second time, Columbus proposes a truce and that the four of them travel together. The girls are headed for Pacific Playland, an amusement park in Los Angeles that is believed to be free of zombies, and Columbus and Tallahassee decide to stick around. All this while following a set of rules in order to survive the zombie infestation.

If you thought the first five parts of this series were good, you ain't seen nothing yet! Now that we've reached the second half of this Top 50 list, we're really starting to get to the real cream of the crop now -- where it really started to become increasingly difficult for me to place them in order.
